Will I have a number of choices? What if I don’t qualify for the trial I want to participate in?

If you use the services listed above, and answer the questions accurately, there is a good chance you may qualify for one or more of trials that they list for you. You look at each specific trial separately. There will be a list of inclusion and exclusion criteria. You can see if you meet the criteria. If you are not sure, ask your doctor about the specifics. You can print out the web pages, or give your doctor the URL or website address, or even the name of the study.

If your physician knows of trials, he or she should be able to find out whether or not you qualify. Even if you don’t qualify for your first choice, there may be other good choices. There is also the chance that a new study will begin at a later time that might be right for you. So if you can’t enroll in a trial when you first look into it, you can look again later if your doctor thinks it might be a good idea, or if there is new information available.
