How often will I be seeing the doctor?
You will see the doctor probably every 2 to 3 weeks. How often you will be seen depends on your treatment and how well you are doing.
After surgery you will have a number of postoperative visits
You may be going to chemotherapy every 3 weeks, or radiation therapy 5 times a day for six weeks. Your doctor may want you to get a scan of the tumor area every two cycles and will see you after that, to decide how well the chemotherapy is working. You will also be checked during the course of radiation therapy.
In addition to scans, you will be having frequent blood tests.
If you are participating in a clinical trial, you will be seeing the doctor and having tests according to the protocol of the trial.
